Travis Duncan, CA
Travis is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Charles Sturt University. A Wodonga local, Travis spent time living overseas before returning to the region to complete his studies and begin his career in public practice.
Travis joined the firm in August 2016, became a Chartered Accountant in 2018 and was appointed as a Director on 1 July 2024.
He works closely with individuals and small to medium-sized businesses, providing accounting, taxation and business advisory support. Travis enjoys helping clients work through complex issues, better understand their financial position and make confident decisions for the future.
His areas of expertise include business advisory, small business taxation, tax planning and superannuation-related taxation matters.
Matthew Kirkwood, CA
Matthew is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business in Accounting, including a joint study in Finance. He brings 22 years of experience across public practice and private industry, giving him a strong understanding of both the technical and commercial challenges faced by business owners.
Matthew began his career in public practice in Albury before spending three years in Euroa as the company accountant for a leading Victorian thoroughbred breeding farm. He returned to public practice in 2012 and became a Director of BDS Huon in July 2023.
Matthew has a particular focus on small and medium-sized businesses with turnover ranging from approximately $2 million to $50 million. He works closely with business owners throughout the different stages of the business lifecycle, helping them understand their financial performance, plan for growth and make informed decisions.
His areas of expertise include business advisory, financial performance analysis, cash flow management, management consulting and business valuations.
