Rod Knight, CA, SMSF Specialist, B.Bus (Acc)

Rod is a Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) Specialist who assists clients with the setup, management and statutory requirements for SMSF's. Rod is a Chartered Accountant who has over 30 years of public practice experience, and has clients in a wide range of geographic locations and from different industries.  

 

Charmaine Parer, SMSF Specialist, B.Bus (Acc), Dip. Financial Services

Charmaine started her career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1997 and from there moved to PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She joined Huon Partners in 2000 and has specialised in Superannuation for the past 15 years. With extensive experience in the setup and management of Self Managed Superannuation Funds, Charmaine enjoys working with her clients to achieve their personal goals. 

 

Accounting Services

John Forster-Knight, CA, Senior Accountant, B.Bus (Acc)

John joined BDS Group in July 1999 as a qualified accountant; and completed his Chartered Accountants' qualification in 2015. John is an experienced team member who works closely with small and medium businesses to achieve their personal and business goals. John has excellent computer skills and can assist his clients with accounting packages, payroll queries and any other computer issues.  

 

Matthew Kirkwood, CA, Senior Accountant, B.Bus (Acc)

Matt began his career in 2002, spending 7 years in public practice in Albury before moving to Euroa for 3 years. Here he was the company accountant for a leading Victorian Thoroughbred breeding farm.  Matt returned to public practice; joining Huon Partners in 2012. Matt successfully completed the Chartered Accountants program in December 2015. Areas of interest and expertise are business cash flow management, business valuations, management consulting and strategic planning.

 

Travis Duncan, CA, Accountant, B.Bus (Acc)

Travis joined BDS Huon in August 2016 after working in a larger firm specialising in superannuation and tax advisory. Travis completed his Bachelor of Business in Accounting at Charles Sturt University in 2015 and became a Chartered Accountant in 2018. Travis has a passion for working with small business owners to help them grow their business and meet their financial goals.

 

Kevin Collihole, Accountant, B.Bus (Acc)

Kevin joined BDS Huon in August 2020 and brings with him 17 years of experience and knowledge working in public practice. Kevin has specialised in working with a diverse range of client portfolios, covering individuals through to companies and superannuation funds.

 

Michaela Russell, Accountant, B.Bus (Acc)

Michaela joined BDS Huon in January 2016 and has recently completed her studies at CSU, Thurgoona. Michaela has 6 months of accounting experience gained at a local firm, and will work in taxation compliance and superannuation compliance whilst completing her studies. 

Lanna Parmenter, Trainee Accountant

Lanna joined BDS Huon in June 2016 and is in her second year of studies at CSU. Lanna has over three years experience in similar roles in the local area and is working in the tax and business advisory section.

 

Luke Molnar, Trainee Accountant

Luke joined the BDS Huon team in July 2018 and is currently completing his studies through Swinburne University. Luke works closely with Senior Accountants to provide support for clients on a range of taxation and accounting needs.

 

Support Specialists

Hayley Perceval, Operations and IT Administrator

Hayley joined BDS Huon in September 2019 to support business operations, bringing with her experience in IT support services, Hayley provides operational support to the team and Directors. 

Lauren Barlow, Client Services Administrator

Lauren joined the team at BDS Huon in 2017 and brings with her a wealth of experience in customer services roles in professional environments. Lauren coordinates  BDS Huon's tax return lodgement program and provides general administrative support to the Directors and Accountants

 

Jessica McFarlane, Client Services and Accounts

Jessica joined the BDS Huon team in August 2018 and brings with her over 10 years' experience in office administration. Jessica is involved in a range of administration activities for BDS Huon including but not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as data entry.

 

Gabrielle Parker, Company Secretarial Administrator 

Gabrielle joined the BDS Huon team in January 2020 and brings with her experience in customer service and support. Gabrielle provides support to the Accountants and Directors when dealing with company secretarial processes. 


Wendy Jackson, Support Services

Wendy is our office scanning guru! She provides excellent support to the everyone and is a very valuable member of the team.
