Rod is a Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) Specialist who assists clients with the setup, management and statutory requirements for SMSF's. Rod is a Chartered Accountant who has over 30 years of public practice experience, and has clients in a wide range of geographic locations and from different industries.
Charmaine started her career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1997 and from there moved to PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She joined Huon Partners in 2000 and has specialised in Superannuation for the past 15 years. With extensive experience in the setup and management of Self Managed Superannuation Funds, Charmaine enjoys working with her clients to achieve their personal goals.
Larry is a founding Director of BDS Huon and joined the firm in 1988, being admitted as a Partner in 1989. Larry's diverse experience has seen him engage across a variety of industries and stakeholders with specialisation in the areas of taxation compliance, business . Having grown up on a farm in Balranald, Larry has an affinity with his farming and rural clients. Larry has over 40 years accounting experience and previously worked at the Australian Taxation Office. Larry specialises in tax advice, GST and primary production. A fellow of CPA Australia, Larry is a past Board Member of Catholic College Wodonga and has served on various Boards in the local region. In July 2017 Larry commenced transition to retirement. Larry remains committed to the firms' bright future, and will continue to be available for clients for the next several years. Larry is in the process of introducing his valued clients to the alternate BDS Huon Director who will assume responsibility for their work over time.
Jen has a Bachelor of Financial Administration from University of New England and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Jen has been working in the Accountancy profession since 1980, having joined Huon Partners in 2004. She specialises in income tax and compliance; her experience includes the transport industry, medical practices as well as primary production and is also able to advise on appropriate business structures. Jen is available to work with her clients both in the office and at their premises.
Jen is active in the community. She is a Board Member for a local NFP organisation; as well as volunteering her time as a member of the local rugby league club.
John joined BDS Group in July 1999 as a qualified accountant; and completed his Chartered Accountants' qualification in 2015. John is an experienced team member who works closely with small and medium businesses to achieve their personal and business goals. John has excellent computer skills and can assist his clients with accounting packages, payroll queries and any other computer issues.
Matt began his career in 2002, spending 7 years in public practice in Albury before moving to Euroa for 3 years. Here he was the company accountant for a leading Victorian Thoroughbred breeding farm. Matt returned to public practice; joining Huon Partners in 2012. Matt successfully completed the Chartered Accountants program in December 2015. Areas of interest and expertise are business cash flow management, business valuations, management consulting and strategic planning.
Catherine worked for 12 years in retail before a change of career to accounting. She was awarded her degree with distinction and has worked in public practice since 1999. She gained her CPA qualification in 2009. Catherine has vast experience in the setup and operation of most small business accounting software packages and specialises in statutory compliance and general taxation. Outside work Catherine has 3 children, and coaches and plays water polo.
Travis joined BDS Huon in August 2016 after working in a larger firm specialising in superannuation and tax advisory. Travis completed his Bachelor of Business in Accounting at Charles Sturt University in 2015 and became a Chartered Accountant in 2018. Travis has a passion for working with small business owners to help them grow their business and meet their financial goals.
Michaela joined BDS Huon in January 2016 and has recently completed her studies at CSU, Thurgoona. Michaela has 6 months of accounting experience gained at a local firm, and will work in taxation compliance and superannuation compliance whilst completing her studies.
Lanna joined BDS Huon in June 2016 and is in her second year of studies at CSU. Lanna has over three years experience in similar roles in the local area and is working in the tax and business advisory section.
Luke joined the BDS Huon team in July 2018 and is currently completing his studies through Swinburne University. Luke works closely with Senior Accountants to provide support for clients on a range of taxation and accounting needs.
Renea is an experienced bookkeeper who can assist clients with all their bookkeeping needs. Renea also is responsible for the office payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Renea is currently undertaking her Quickbooks Online Certification and has worked with Xero for a number of years.
Morgan joined the BDS Huon team in October 2018 with a background working in the peripheral of the healthcare sector. Morgan draws from her experience over the past ten years to provide operational management at BDS Huon, which includes business planning and development, workforce development and oversight of business processes.
Sue joined BDS Group in September 2010 and she has over 30 years experience in office administration and has worked in accounting and financial planning organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
Tracey started with Huon Partners in 2012 and is an experienced administration and customer service officer having worked in this area for a number of years. Tracey is the primary person responsible for BDS Huon's taxation return lodgement program; and assists the Directors and Accountants with Taxation Office queries and can provide assistance
Born and raised in the area, Tracey is very much a local girl who is involved in a number of local clubs and volunteers for Country Hope.
Lauren joined the team at BDS Huon in 2017 and brings with her a wealth of experience in customer services roles in professional environments. Lauren is the friendly face and voice of BDS Huon, assisting clients with general queries.
Jessica joined the BDS Huon team in August 2018 and brings with her over 10 years' experience in office administration. Jessica is involved in a range of administration activities for BDS Huon including but not limited to reception duties, internal accounts and data entry.
Wendy is our office scanning guru! She provides excellent support to the everyone and is a very valuable member of the team.
